What Is Tele-Optometry?

Tele-optometry is a secure, virtual eye care service that lets you speak with an optometrist through video or messaging. It offers a convenient way to discuss symptoms, receive care recommendations, or ask questions about your eye health.

This service does not replace comprehensive eye exams but is helpful for a range of non-urgent issues, such as:

Red or irritated eyes
Mild infections or eye injuries
Medication questions or prescription refills
Dry eye symptoms
Monitoring existing eye conditions

If an in-person visit is needed, we will schedule a follow-up at one of our locations.

Coverage & Appointment Fees

Some telehealth appointments are partially covered by the Medical Services Plan of British Columbia (MSP). Our team will review any fees with you before your appointment is confirmed.

Urgent concerns like sudden vision loss, double vision, or serious trauma should still be assessed through an in-person exam.

Private & Easy to Use

We use encrypted technology to protect your information and any images shared during your consultation. You may be asked to provide photos, answer questions about your symptoms, or share your health history and medications.

After your session, you will receive personalized care instructions or a referral for an in-office visit if needed.
