Dr. Angela Zhang grew up in the Lower Mainland and studied psychology and microbiology/immunology at the University of British Columbia.
In 2020, she graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Doctorate of Optometry and was granted a Practice Excellence Scholarship and an award of excellence in contact lens patient care. Since then, she studied eye movements in amblyopia as part of a master’s degree at the University of Waterloo and is working toward a fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Zhang was involved with the Eyeglasses Project in Vancouver and has travelled to Jamaica to provide eye care through Canadian Vision Care. She is excited to return to BC to practice optometry in the beautiful Cowichan Valley.
In her spare time, she enjoys cycling, crafting, and spending quality time with her family and cat.
